In many countries school is compulsory. Pupils usually attend primary school. Then they move to secondary school.

Most pupils attend  state schools  which are free . Some parents send their children to private schools where they have to pay a fee . Most schools have exams  at the end of the year to test pupils` progress .If pupils marks aren’t

good enough ,they have to give another exam. Teachers write reports about their pupils.
